DIGIKART

Digikart or Stamp Me: the honest comparison

Stamp Me and Digikart both turn the cardboard punch card into something that lives in a phone, and both are built for independent shops rather than chains. They part company on one question: what your customer has to install. Stamp Me asks them to download the Stamp Me app and register an account. Digikart puts the card straight into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The prices below were read on stampme.com on 16 September 2026, in pounds, and are worth checking on their site before you decide anything.

Our honest reading

The dividing line is the download. With Stamp Me your customer goes to the App Store or Google Play, installs the app and registers an account before the first stamp; their help centre is explicit about it. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet do come into it, but what goes into the Wallet is the Member Code, and only when the merchant app is used to validate the transaction. The stamps themselves live in the Stamp Me app. With Digikart there is nothing to install: the customer scans the QR code on your counter and the card, stamp count and all, is in their Wallet before the coffee is made. Whether that matters depends on your queue. At a busy till, every extra step is a customer who says they will do it next time.

On money the two are not standing on the same ground. Stamp Me has no free plan: once the 30 day trial ends the entry price is £39 a month for a single location, £49 for Pro and £129 for Elite. Lite alone comes to £468 a year, before a second shop. Digikart bills in euros: the free plan costs nothing and has no cap on customers, Plus is €17 a month including VAT, around £15, and Pro is €49 including VAT, around £42. You pay in euros, so the exact sterling figure on your statement moves with your bank's rate on the day.

Stamp Me does several things Digikart does not, and they deserve to be named. It runs Scratch & Win games on top of the stamp card. It sends SMS as well as push notifications, unlimited on the Pro and Elite plans, which reaches customers who keep notifications switched off. It sells tap hardware for the counter, the StampPod and the Stamp Tag, so your staff never have to handle a phone. It connects to other tools through Zapier, including email and CRM platforms such as Mailchimp. Its Pro and Elite plans both come with phone support and a dedicated account manager, from £49 a month. And its trial runs 30 days, against our 3 days on Plus and 14 on Pro.

So Stamp Me is the better choice in several clear cases. If SMS is the channel that actually reaches your customers, Stamp Me sends it and we do not. If you want a tap device sitting on the counter rather than a member of staff scanning a phone, the StampPod answers that and we sell no hardware at all. If gamified rewards are part of how you market, Scratch & Win is a real feature with no equivalent on our side. And if you want a named person to ring when something goes wrong, their Pro plan at £49 a month already gives you one, with phone support alongside it.

Digikart makes more sense when the programme has to prove itself before it costs anything, and when you run more than one site. Every Stamp Me plan on their published pricing covers a single location, so two shops means two subscriptions; they do invite franchises and larger brands to contact them for a custom arrangement, so ask them for a quote before you take the doubled price as final. Our Pro plan at €49 including VAT covers unlimited locations, with employee accounts so each site has its own logins. And because our free plan has no customer cap and no end date, you can run a real programme through a whole season and decide afterwards, rather than deciding on day 30 with your card details already on file.

Frequently asked questions

Is Stamp Me more expensive than Digikart?

On the public prices, yes. Stamp Me starts at £39 a month for one location, with no free plan, then £49 and £129 (read on stampme.com, September 2026). Digikart is free with unlimited customers on the Free plan, €17 including VAT on Plus and €49 on Pro, which is around £15 and £42. Price is not the whole answer though: if you need SMS, counter hardware or Scratch & Win games, Stamp Me has them and we do not.

Do my customers have to download an app?

With Stamp Me, yes. Their help centre says members download the Stamp Me app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and register before joining a card. With Digikart, no. Your customer scans the QR code on the counter and the card lands in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, with no account to create. The stamp count is printed on the card itself, so they can see where they are without opening anything.

What does Stamp Me do that Digikart does not?

SMS alongside push notifications, Scratch & Win games, tap hardware for the counter (StampPod and Stamp Tag), connections to tools such as Mailchimp through Zapier, phone support and a dedicated account manager on the Pro and Elite plans, and a 30 day trial against our 3 days on Plus and 14 on Pro. All checked on stampme.com in September 2026. If one of those is the thing you are shopping for, they are the better fit and we would rather say so.

Am I billed in pounds?

No, Digikart bills in euros: €17 including VAT a month on Plus and €49 on Pro, or €170 and €490 a year. In sterling that is roughly £15 and £42, and the exact amount on your statement depends on your bank's rate that day. The Free plan costs nothing in any currency and asks for no card details at sign-up.

I have two shops. What does each one cost?

Stamp Me's Lite, Pro and Elite plans all cover a single location on their published pricing, so two shops means two subscriptions (stampme.com, September 2026). Their pricing page also invites franchises and larger brands to get in touch for a custom arrangement, so it is worth asking them rather than assuming two subscriptions. Digikart's Pro plan at €49 including VAT covers unlimited locations for one price, with employee accounts so the staff at each shop have their own login and you can see the two counters separately on the dashboard.
