DIGIKART

The loyalty programme for your optical practice

Your patient walks out delighted with a new pair. An eligible patient gets a free NHS sight test every two years, and in Ireland the PRSI treatment benefit runs to the same rhythm. In between there is the cleaning spray, the bent arm, prescription sunglasses in June, the spare pair. That is where the card works: points-based loyalty software that holds the link while the next sale is far off.

Free, unlimited customers, no bank card. Ready in 15 minutes.

What the paper card costs you

How it works

You create your card online and put the poster with its QR code on the counter. The customer scans it once with their camera: the card lands in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, with no app to install. On each visit, you scan their card (or your till does it): stamps or points add up, and the reward unlocks on its own.

The recommended programme for your optician

At an opticians, a stamp card never fills up: the rhythm is too slow. Take points mode on the amount spent, one point per pound, or per euro in Ireland. A full dispense credits in one go, and the reward then sits on care, a case or sunglasses. On Plus, three tiers give a reason to call in before the next pair; on Pro, the win-back wakes the patient coming up to two years.

Frequently asked questions

Can I give points on glasses paid for with an NHS voucher?

Keep the reward off the funded part. An NHS optical voucher is a contribution towards the cost, and you cannot claim back the difference between its value and the price of the glasses. Put the points on what the patient pays themselves: a spare pair, non-prescription sunglasses, cleaning kit, a case. The PRSI treatment benefit works the same way in Ireland. If in doubt, ask your professional body.

My patients only come back every two years, is the card really worth it?

That is the case where it earns its keep. A piece of card is long lost by then; the Digikart card stays in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, with your name and your colours, on the phone your patient always has on them. A points balance waiting for them is a concrete reason to come back to you. Free with unlimited patients; Plus is €17 a month including VAT, around £15, billed in euros.

How do I get back in touch at the right moment?

You know the calendar of your own trade: an eligible patient is entitled to a free NHS sight test every two years, sooner if you recommend it, and past two years an unregistered seller can no longer dispense against that prescription. The Pro plan gives you the channel: one notification to every card, with no billed SMS, along the lines of “Prescription sunglasses, fittings until 15 June”.
